Twenty years ago, in 2005, Glenn co-founded the McGrath Foundation with his late wife Jane after her devastating breast cancer diagnosis. Jane passed away in June 2008 at just 42 years of age leaving behind Glenn and their two small children.
Instead of stepping away, Glenn remained at the forefront of Jane’s legacy. He and his new wife, Sara, have stayed committed to carrying forward Jane’s vision, expanding the charity’s mission far beyond what many expected. He remains President and full-time volunteer, with the Foundation supporting over 150,000 families, funding hundreds of cancer care nurses across Australia.
Given the circumstances, it may have been easier to hand over leadership, perhaps to Jane’s best friend or other supporters, but Glenn chose to stay front and centre. That speaks volumes. He doesn’t associate his name with causes or brands lightly. He chooses with his heart and maintains integrity in everything he does.
That same integrity underpins this ambassadorship. Glenn supports only causes he believes in and is known for doing things because he cares, not for commercial gain. Right now, Glenn sits on boards, coaches cricket at Chennai’s MRF Pace Foundation and serves as ambassador for other brands.
